Jan 11, 2014: I *think* I have made the city-generator mod play nicer with the server. Exploring beyond the map shouldn't be so risky now.
Even so, please don't rush into unknown territory. Give the server time to generate the new chunks.
Also, when using the trains, they mess up less when ran at less than full speed.
Dec 10: I have made two railcraft trains. Please read the railcraft wiki section on steam locomotives and boilers before using the trains.
Unfortunately, lag can sometimes cause the trains to get tangled. Sorry there's nothing I can do about preventing that.
If a train gets tangled, power down the locomotive, disconnect all the traincars, modify the track to scoot them over, and then put back together.
Remember to leave the track the way you found it when done! For info on connecting/disconnecting traincars, see the wiki page.
Remember, locomotives and high-speed tracks can cause destruction if misused! Be careful.
Do experiments with your own railcraft creations only!
Sept 22: Added lagmeter. Type /lag to see how bad it is.
You can install CraftGuide on the client to see recipes. To use, press 'G' key in-game. Click on "Set item" to type a search.
Craftguide is NOT installed server-side, but all recipes should show up client-side.
Your character gets thirsty now! I recommend learning how to make a cup of clean water and bringing water supplies!

I updated the version of Better Dungeons Mod, hopefully won't crash as often.

This server tends to crash a lot, walk slowly when exploring the edge of the map.
This server uses a CUSTOM mod pack, set up with *this how-to* - read carefully.

ALL TELEPORTATION EXCEPT /tpa IS DISABLED. TPA is ONE-WAY, no /back
This means you can get lost easily and there is no way back from the end world except by defeating the ender dragon.
Basically, one must walk, ride, or boat to AND FROM places.
Although the /back command is disabled, dropped inventory is SAVED INDEFINITELY in a bag until found again. (Right click the bag to get it back.)
HOWEVER if you die in lava your items are generally still lost!
DON'T LOOT OTHER PEOPLE'S BAGS! Hit the sneak key (left shift by default) to see who's bag it is.

EXPLOSION, FIRESPREAD, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE IS ENABLED!
ALSO, THERE ARE A FEW MOBS (such as golems and ogres) THAT CAN BYPASS PROTECTIONS. BE CAREFUL!
Use obsidian blocks or ore blocks to block ogres, and don't put important chests/items on ground level.

ALSO, chests and furnaces are not private by default! Lock up your chest and furnaces if you want them private, if they aren't on a claim. Use Lockette.

This server is supposed to be more like single-player survival, or like RS Minecraft when it was first enabled, but with more epic terrain, trees, creatures, and dungeons.
This pack encourages more community, more rail-roads and roadways, more fortresses against night-mobs.
Also, difficulty is set to 3 (hard). Your character can die of starvation. Zombies can now break wooden doors.
One just needs to find cunning ways or alternative pathways to/through/around difficult spots, and mine for iron elsewhere to get armor first before trying to get your sack back. This game requires some PATIENCE!
NOTE: THERE IS SOME LAG when generating new chunks. Please wait a few seconds for chunks to generate when exploring new areas.
NOTE: THERE IS ALSO SOME LAG on slower internet connections when re-spawning or travelling. Sorry, wait a moment and it should get better.

UberForest: Planted trees slowly spread now.
ChopTree2 makes for (somewhat) more realistic tree chopping on vanilla tree types when using an axe.

Walled-City-Generator Mod adds walls, walled-cities, and ruins. You must explore new terrain to generate. Laggy.
Remove from your MultiMC instance, client version causes problems with server.
Note that due to buggy chunk generation and lag, I had to leave the settings near default, it make take a while to find a city, and the sandstone city is rare.
RailCraft redefines your rails. Note that tunnel bores are disabled.
Audiotori allows to add your own sound effects, such as the old sound effects in minecraft 1.8 beta (how-to coming soon).

Better Item Despawning: Dropped items won't vanish for 15 real-life minutes (instead of 5); most tree saplings will automatically replant after that.
