SERVER INFO:

New Game 2 Modpack

Server Map using BlueMap

Bluemap doesn't show whether it's day or night, however. Be careful where you log off!

Please don't mine the highways, cities, or villages for their materials.

Modifying anything like adding an on-ramp or change a building facade is fine.

Please replant every natural tree after logging! This means you! Unless you are clearing land for building something.

If you need a lot of wood of a specific type, cut just enough trees (generally just one or two) to get extra saplings,

replant the original trees, and then farm the extra saplings. Certain modded wood types cannot make chests.

Spruce wood is by far the most common, look for the towering spruce farms for chests of wood.

Please don't kill too many wild cows or sheep. Breed cows and shear sheep instead.

This modpack/server encourages exploring. There are many structures to find.

Fire Dragon roosts are black blobs with yellow speckles on the map. STAY AWAY (at least 64 blocks) until ready!

If you get too close to a roost, a Fire Dragon might try to get you. PLEASE DON'T LEAD ONE BACK TO STRUCTURES!

Item despawn time is 2 real life hours or 6 minecraft days. Player-dropped items never despawn.

And please, treat other players and their builds/property with respect.

Please save all mined materials, including dirt and cobble.

Please read the CurseForge How-To to set up the CurseForge App.

Please read the New Game 2 How-To to get the New Game 2 Modpack set up properly.

When first joining, please select "Somewhere" on the Journey Start screen to spawn in the spawn area and not somewhere distant.

Server Modpack Version is 43.1.0, please read the Modpack Version How-to to change modpack version.

Server Hints:

There are 4 more mods and 1 datapack added on the server side:

Lost Cities, Fast Leaf Decay, Configurable Despawn Timer, BlueMap, and the datapack Idle Pause.

Idle Pause pauses the day/night/season cycle when no one is on the server.

This server kind of brings back the feeling of when first playing Minecraft.

Copper items are available in this modpack. However they don't seem to do much good, except for the bucket, shears, and hoe.

Trees I am farming will be in rows. Feel free to modify and/or re-locate any tree/crop farms in the spawn region.

I have 3 large spruce farms in the village.

Eggs are abundant because they don't despawn as fast.

Most of the building, the cemetary, the signpost, and most of the sugarcane farm at spawn were naturally generated.

Fences show up on the map as purple and black. I think that the map doesn't recognize the Diagonal Fences mod.

There are seasons on this server. Some trees/plants/crops grow at different speeds depending on the season.

From wiki: Place "glass/stained glass blocks within 16 blocks above crops to grow" crops at normal speed out of season.

You can hover your arrow over a given item to determine its optimal season.

You can type "calendar" without quotes into the lower right side inventory search box,

then hover your arrow over the calendar item to see the current season.

You may notice snow on some parts of the map in certain non-cold biomes in non-cold seasons.

This is due to the fact that block ticking, which controls crop growth, tree growth, grass-spread, and snow melting/forming,

is hard-wired to only occur at chunks that are 128 blocks or closer to the player.
